Title | Why the All Blacks Triumphed - A Daily Mail Story of the 1905 All Black Tour of the UK |
Description | Very rare publication by the Daily Mail in London covering the 1905 Original All Blacks tour of the UK, winning every game except that single loss of 3-0 to wales in disputed circumstances. Game by game analysis together with editorial articles by the NZ Captain Dave Gallaher "The Secret of our Success", Gwyn Nicholls the Welsh Captain, Cartwright the English Captain, Lamond a Scottish International and others. Includes a copy of the telegram from Deans sent home explaining that he had in fact scored a try to level the Welsh score. This copy has edge wear but is fully intact including the front and rear cover pages and has been rebound in black with gilt title lettering to the spine. A nice intact copy, the only example I have listed for sale in 15 years. |
